Privacy Policy

This page explains what information The Tech Helper (thetechhelper.com) collects, why, and how it’s used. We’ve kept it in plain English, the same as everything else on this site.

What we collect automatically

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand roughly how many people visit, which pages are popular, and how people find the site. This collects general information like browser type, device type, and approximate location (usually just city or region level) – it doesn’t identify you personally.

We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us understand how people arrive at the site from Facebook or Instagram and measure whether our content is useful. This works similarly to Google Analytics.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use them for the analytics tools mentioned above, and your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time in its settings if you’d prefer not to have them.

Affiliate links

The Tech Helper is reader-supported. Many of the product links on this site are Amazon Associates affiliate links, and some are affiliate links to other retailers – if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link may set a cookie with the retailer so they can credit the referral; this is handled entirely by the retailer, not by us.

Contact forms

If you use our contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are sent to us so we can reply, and are not used for anything else or shared with anyone else.

Comments

If comments are enabled on a post and you leave one, the comment itself, your name and email address, and your IP address are stored so we can moderate comments and prevent spam.

Questions

If you have any questions about this policy or want to know what information we hold about you, get in touch and we’ll help.
